Scouts Australia provides fun youth development activities, building resilient and confident boys and girls aged 5 to 25 in the Joey Scout, Cub Scout, Scout, Venturer Scout and Rover Scout Sections.  We also welcome adult volunteer Scout Leaders.  Scouts has opportunities for the whole family to be involved. Everyone is welcome, and we value the diversity of our members.

26TH AUSTRALIAN JAMBOREE - MARYBOROUGH, QUEENSLAND

6-15 JANUARY 2025

'Over the past century, more than a billion young people have been “learning by doing” through the global Scouting movement.

Instead of learning in a formal way, our members have been getting their hands dirty, independently solving problems and learning from their mistakes. We emphasise active learning for young people through adventure and challenge.

Scouts Victoria has 17,500 youth members and 5000 volunteer Leaders, all proving that adventure and the Scouting way are a wonderful way to learn, whatever your age.'

MISSION STATEMENT

The Scout Association of Australia operates a voluntary, non-political educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the Founder, Lord Baden-Powell.

The Mission for Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Scout Movement is to contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
